Kazan is the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, a city with a thousand-year history. In 2004 Kazan was recognized as the best city in Russia. This is a unique city in which two such different cultures and religions as Orthodoxy and Islam are mixed. It is impossible to describe all the richness of Kazan's attractions, but there are places that cannot be missed and things that cannot be done if you come here.

Visit the Kazan Kremlin. This monument keeps the prints of three cultures - Kazan, Russian and European. The magnificent Kul-Sharif mosque and the largest building of the Kremlin - the Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, peacefully coexist here. The Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery and the famous "falling" Syuyumbike tower are also located on the territory of the Kremlin.
Walk along Bauman Street. It is called "Kazansky Arbat". Here your attention will be attracted by the hotel "Chaliapin" and the monument to the great singer. If you walk a little further - to Peterburgskaya Street, you will get the feeling that you are on the embankment of the Neva. Here you can stop at the monument to Lev Gumilyov.
Go down to the underground temple of Ilya Muromets, accompanied by a guardian-guide. It is located on an island, on the Kazanka River, under the Monument to the Soldiers Who Died During the Capture of Kazan in 1552.
Visit the Museum of Dramatic Russian Theater and take pictures with the only monument in Russia to Vasily Kachalov. Go to a play at the theater. G. Kamala. In the evening, on the square in front of the theater, look at the "dancing" fountains.
Try traditional Tatar dishes - tokmach (noodle soup), kystyby pie and sweet honey chak-chak with Tatar tea. All this can be tasted in the restaurants of the national Tatar cuisine "Bilyar", "Alan-Ash", "House of Tatar cookery".
Go shopping at the Kazan market. You can buy anything here, from souvenirs to food.
Go to one of the water parks in Kazan. There are two of them in the city, and both occupy a huge area and provide visitors with a lot of water activities for every taste.
Take a break from the bustling city and stroll through Kazan's Millennium Park. Go rollerblading at Wings of the Councils Park. Plunge into childhood and go to the amusement park "Kyrlay". It has both dizzying (in the truest sense of the word) rides for adults and entertainment for the little ones. Take a ride on the Ferris wheel and get a bird's eye view of Kazan.
