A new law has come into force, which prohibits the transportation of absolutely any liquids in hand luggage on board an aircraft.
Many tourists who have to make an air flight are concerned about the ban on carrying all types of liquids in hand luggage. This ban has already entered into force and will remain in effect until March 20. This decision was made by the Federal Air Transport Agency to ensure greater security. In addition, the Olympics are approaching, where ensuring the absence of any terrorist attacks is the main prerogative of the authorities.
Currently, aircraft are the most vulnerable to terrorist attacks, which is why they receive such special attention. It should be noted that the passenger has the right to put all liquids (both medicines and personal hygiene products) in the baggage. As before, this new rule will not apply to goods purchased in duty-free shops. After all, this is a sterile area, and all goods have already passed a thorough control. The purchased goods are not allowed to be opened during the flight; tourists will be able to enjoy the purchase after arriving at their destination.
In fact, there is nothing supernova about this limitation. Russia even lags a little behind the rest of the world, where a similar rule has existed for a long time. Russian air passengers are advised to treat such prohibitions with understanding. After all, this is, first of all, ensuring their safety. Therefore, before departure, you should definitely study the rules for transporting not only baggage, but also hand luggage; and also arrive on time at the airports of departure.
