Instructions

Step 1

Start your journey from the capital along the Novoryazanskoe highway with a visit to Kolomna. The Kolomna Kremlin took the leading place during the voting for the Russia 10 project. Go and see for yourself that this victory is well deserved. Kolomna Kremlin is not only about huge walls and towers. This is a whole complex with preserved ancient streets, monasteries and temples, museums and temporary styling. Visiting the Kremlin will be very interesting for children; on weekends, many small museums and exhibition halls hold master classes and performances designed specifically for children. Holidays are especially interesting and fun here - Christmas, Christmastide, Maslenitsa.

Step 2

Visit cathedrals and temples that are of historical importance for the whole of Russia. The Assumption Cathedral rises above Kolomna - the most important place of all Orthodox holidays in the city. Once there was kept the miraculous icon of the Donskoy Mother of God, which more than once saved Russia from the raids of enemies and invaders. Now this image is kept in the Tretyakov Gallery. Go to the elegant Trinity Church, which is impossible to pass by - its painting and decorations are so interesting. Hear the bell tower ringing of the Novo-Golutvin Monastery. And be sure to take a walk before dark to see the evening Kremlin in lights and illumination.

Step 3

After walking around the Kolomna Kremlin, hit the road. After 30 kilometers along the highway, on your way will be the city of Zaraysk, which also has its own Kremlin. But unlike Kolomna, it is completely preserved, even if it is a little dilapidated. Two very interesting churches have also survived, in which you can find ancient icons. Near Zaraisk is the city of Lukhovitsy, where tourism has been actively developing lately. And they lure tourists … with cucumbers! It was this vegetable that made the city famous. And here it is not only grown and sold. There is also a cucumber museum and even a monument in Lukhovitsy. In the city you can spend the night and dine, there are goodies and good restaurant service.

Step 4

After resting, go further. The Ryazan region is waiting for you, which is famous for the fact that here in the village of Konstantinovo there is a house where Sergei Yesenin grew up. Now there is a museum-reserve, where Yesenin's estate is located, the school in which he studied, museums, places that somehow influenced the fate of the poet. The village is very beautiful at any time of the year, because it is located on the banks of the Oka River, from where a stunning view opens up. Only after seeing such beauty of nature, you begin to understand where the poet got his inspiration from.
