Where to go in Novosibirsk

Guests of the capital should definitely visit the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. One of the largest theater buildings in Russia, the symbol of Novosibirsk, has the status of a cultural monument of federal significance. The theater amazes with the beauty of the exterior and interior of the building, as well as the variety of the repertoire. It stands on the main city square named after Lenin. The ensemble with the theater building is built in 1911, a former city shopping complex, now a museum of local lore.

There are many museums in the city, along with serious scientific and educational museums, there are also non-standard ones. For example, the only museum of the Sun in Russia. It is worth coming here to recharge with positive energy, to feel the benevolent atmosphere. More than two thousand exhibits are collected in the museum: woodwork in the "solar style", drawings of the sun and solar gods, copying the art of ancient civilizations.

The Museum of Happiness is no less interesting and unique. Items that bring good luck, collected from all over the world: a map that has made a trip around the world; collection of lucky tickets; an umbrella that makes wishes come true. If you make a wish and touch the umbrella, it will definitely come true.

It is impossible to ignore the Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky. The stone church is almost the same age as the city, lit up six years after the foundation of the settlement. The church is built in the Byzantine style. The old interior decoration has not survived; the murals and iconostasis were completed at the end of the 20th century.

At the intersection of Sovetskaya and Chelyuskintsev streets, the main church of the city, the Ascension Cathedral, is hiding behind the trees. The luxurious temple, crowned with seven gilded chapters, attracts the eye, bewitches with its beauty. In the cathedral are kept Shrines: the icon of the Mother of God "Life-giving source", icons of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and Seraphim of Sarov with relics.

Akademgorodok

A wonderful place to relax, the pride of Novosibirsk is Akademgorodok. On its territory there are many funny sculptures and monuments, interesting museums, for example, an open-air architectural museum with wonderful monuments of Siberian wooden architecture.

A walk along Morskoy Avenue, which leads to the beach, can turn out to be pleasant and informative. And if you turn left, onto Zolotodolinskaya Street, then go to the Botanical Garden, the largest in the Asian part of Russia, spread over an area of 10 sq. km.

This is a popular place for guests and residents of the city. You can walk here for hours. In addition to indoor greenhouses with unique collections of plants, beautiful decorative compositions have been created on the grounds: "Garden of Continuous Flowering", "Bonsai Park", "Rocky Garden", "Waltz of Flowers".

At the end of the city tour, you can take a stroll around the "Mother" square - a cozy and pleasant place of rest. The heart of the square is the composition "Mother and Child" made of gray-pink granite. This, of course, is not all the interesting places that can be seen in Novosibirsk; it is impossible to tell about all the beauties of the capital of Siberia within the framework of one article.
