The city of Kolpino, like the entire Kolpinsky district, is now part of St. Petersburg. This is a distant suburb of the Northern capital. Kolpino can be considered a working-class area, since this city is home to one of the largest industrial enterprises of the North-West of Russia - the famous Izhora plant. It is also a large transport hub, so there are several ways to get to Kolpino.

It is necessary

  • - map of St. Petersburg;
  • - St. Petersburg metro map;
  • - the schedule of trains from the Moscow railway station in St. Petersburg;
  • - timetable of trains from Moskovsky railway station to Novgorod and Bologoye;
  • - timetable of trains from the Leningradsky railway station in Moscow to St. Petersburg.

Instructions

Step 1

A large and busy highway from Moscow to St. Petersburg passes through Kolpino. Getting from St. Petersburg is, of course, faster. The easiest way to do this is when you get to Sofiyskaya Street. Kolpinskoe highway is actually its continuation. To get to the desired interchange, now there is no need to wade through the crowded streets of the Northern capital. From many districts of the city, you can go to the ring road, and then, along the exit to Sofiyskaya, go to the Kolpinskoe highway.

Step 2

Kolpino is a busy transport hub. This relatively small town is crossed by 16 intercity bus routes. Most of them connect Kolpino with the Northern capital. To get on the bus, you first need to get to one of the following metro stations:

- "Star" (blue line);

- "Kupchino" (blue line);

- "Proletarian" (green line).

Buses №192 and №196 go from "Zvezdnaya". From the metro station "Kupchino" to the desired place you will be taken by bus # 326. If it is more convenient for you to go along the green line, then bus # 327 runs from Proletarskaya. If you are coming from Pulkovo airport, it is more convenient to get there via Zvezdnaya. All buses from the airport go through Moskovskaya. You need to get off at this stop, go down the metro and drive to Zvezdnaya. It's just one stop.

Step 3

Trains to Moscow and electric trains of the Moscow direction also go through Kolpino. The truth is more often than not stop. But on the other hand, electric trains stop, and there are two stations on the territory of the city - "Kolpino" and "Izhora plant". You need electric trains going to Tosno, Shapki, Lyuban, Chudovo and Malaya Vishera. Trains run frequently in this direction, Kolpino is not far away, so this is still one of the most convenient ways to get there, since you don't have to get stuck in traffic jams.

Step 4

Despite the fact that long-distance trains rarely stop in Kolpino, you can get to this city with two such trains. These are trains from St. Petersburg to Bologoye and Novgorod-Veliky. They leave from the Moscow railway station. There is a high-speed train “Lastochka” going to Novgorod, so you can get there, perhaps, faster than by train or bus.

Step 5

If you are coming from Moscow and want to get to Kolpino without going to St. Petersburg, you need to take a train that stops at Malaya Vishera. At this station, you can change to an electric train going to St. Petersburg.
