The most important quality or criterion for the "best" airline is not comfort, not the level of crew service, but a reputation for safety. Several years ago, the German research center JACDEC (Jet Airliner Crashes Evaluation Center) researched this issue and ranked the safest airlines.

Instructions

Step 1

The main principle of compiling this rating by specialists from JACDEC was the operating time without accidents and disasters, in which passengers were injured or killed. The first seven of these airlines included those that for 30 years or more carried out air transportation without any unpleasant forms of majeure.

The TOP is led by the Australian Qantas Airways, which has been operating without casualties for 65 years. It is already followed by Finnish Finnair, New Zealand Air New Zealand, Portuguese TAP Portugal, as well as Cathay Pacific Airways, All Nippon Airways and German Air Berlin.

From this list of airlines, four airlines operate flights to Russia - Air Berlin, TAP Portugal, Finnair and Cathay Pacific Airways. Air Berlin is considered one of the cheapest for flights to Europe from Russian cities.

Step 2

From 8th to 19th places are occupied by the following airlines - Virgin Atlantic Airways, Emirates Airline, Transaero Airlines, EVA Air, Hainan Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Qatar Airways, JetBlue Airways, Virgin Blue, Etihad Airways, EasyJet, WestJet Airlines.

It is noteworthy that the Russian Transaero Airlines occupies the 10th place in the TOP in terms of security, having a security experience of 20 years.

Step 3

British Airways, German Lufthansa, Southwest Airlines, KLM, Thomsonfly, Continental Airlines, Canadian Air Canada, Ryanair, Delta Air Lines, Swiss and Singapore Airlines close the safe thirty.

From the latter list, only Singapore Airlines, Swiss and TLM operate regular flights to Russia.

Step 4

Russian "Aeroflot" has every chance of being in the top thirty, but so far it occupies only 35th place. It is also interesting here that when compiling the rating, only statistics from 1992, when Aeroflot acquired the status of an OJSC, were calculated.

Flights of the following airlines are also considered quite safe - United Airlines (32nd place), Chinese China Eastern Airlines (36th), Italian Alitalia (37th), French Air France (41st), Chinese Air China (43- f), Japan Air Lines (46th), Iberia, Scandinavian Airlines and China Southern Airlines (seats 47-49), as well as Thai Thai Airways, Turkish Turkish Airlines and Korean Korean Air (seats 53-55).
