In summer, many people are drawn to go on a trip, a hike or just a picnic. In order not to feel discomfort, you need to take a lot of things with you that do not fit in a regular bag. Those interested can sew a wardrobe trunk on their own. It will turn out to be not only roomy, but also a very cute "suitcase".

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the fabric into strips of 8, 5x55 cm, lay out the canvas from them, adding a few strips of the main fabric. Sew the colorful shreds together, pressing the seams on one side. Cut the resulting canvas into strips of 5 cm, but in the opposite direction. Lay out, slide the "ladder". Sew 6 strips for the case body and 2 for its rim again. Get the top.

Step 2

Cut 2 small rectangles from the lining, and twice as large from the padding polyester.

Step 3

Sew together the lock, top, padding polyester and lining. Fasten and turn inside out.

Step 4

Iron.

Step 5

Quilt the resulting piece in the running squares style.

Step 6

Overlock the edges.

Step 7

Now go back to the multi-colored stripes and sew from them the connecting panel of the case. You will also need lining rectangles and padding polyester.

Step 8

In order to make a handle, cut a strip of 34 cm, carefully glue with non-woven fabric.

Step 9

Cut another strip from the base fabric with a width of 2.5 times. Attach two blanks and sew together, turn out, stitch. Sew two buttonhole strips and sew over the zipper.

Step 10

Take all the details of the connecting part and sew them on the side of the main canvas.

Step 11

Stitch all layers to the second edge, forming a "well". Iron the resulting canvas.

Step 12

To make the bottom of the wardrobe trunk, cut out rectangles 40x23 cm from padding polyester, the main and lining fabric. Fold the layers with a "sandwich" - one will go to the lid, the other to the bottom. Quilt and iron.

Step 13

Cut out two ovals 35x21 cm. Sew the previously prepared handle to the lid of the bag.

Turn the "well" inside out, connect the rim and cover, as well as the bottom. Open the lock completely and sew in the remaining parts. Make a nice edging. You will definitely not find such a bag-wardrobe trunk.
