The Far East is a popular destination for tourists from Russia and neighboring countries. Unique nature is combined with a rich history, so the traveler will have something to see. In order to attract more tourists, the authorities intend to create special routes similar to the Golden Ring.
Every year the number of people who want to admire the sights of the Far East is steadily growing. However, for the full development of tourism, this amount is still not enough. Tour operators consider transport inaccessibility, lack of budget hotels and undeveloped infrastructure to be the main obstacles for visitors.
Tourism experts, having gathered at a round table, decided to normalize the spontaneous flows of tourists and create a semblance of the Golden Ring of Russia, which will unite large cities and natural attractions of interest to tourists. The program is largely focused on residents of neighboring Asian countries - Mongolia, China, Japan. They are most curious about cities such as Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. The architecture of these cities is similar to that of Europe, and Asian residents are happy to go to look at foreign culture. Tourists are happy to drive towards Lake Baikal, go along the Tea Route to the Ivolginsky Datsan and the Barguzin Valley. However, there are no groups of foreign tourists walking around the coastal cities with cameras. It is not surprising, because a five-star hotel in China is often cheaper than a three-star hotel in Vladivostok, and foreigners have to develop tourist routes on their own.
Exactly which cities will be included in the Golden Ring of the Far East has not yet been disclosed. To begin with, tour operators are planning to build a network of cozy and budget hotels in the segment from Baikal to Primorye. The tourist routes are planning to include not only cities with a rich history and architecture, but also natural attractions - tiger and leopard reserves, Lake Khanka. However, so far the matter has not moved off the ground - the implementation of such a grandiose project is impossible without help from the state.
