At the moment Gelendzhik is one of the most popular Russian cities for summer vacations. Over the past ten years, it has grown in popularity thanks to its skilful investment in the tourism industry. Now the city has its own airport, capable of receiving planes at any time of the day, a developed infrastructure, developed tourist routes and many places for active and passive recreation.

Today there is an opportunity to quickly get to Gelendzhik using the services of one of the airlines. However, not everyone can afford it. There are two types of transport left - rail and road.

Railway transport

Gelendzhik differs from many other resort towns in that it does not have a railway station. On the one hand, this leads to a number of inconveniences in terms of cargo transportation and passenger delivery. On the other hand, the ecology of the area benefits greatly from this.

If you want to get to the city by rail, you will have to buy tickets to Novorossiysk or Anapa. You can get from Novorossiysk to the city in literally an hour, but from Anapa you will have to shake for at least two hours. You can get there either by bus or by minibus.

The fare is low, but the buses themselves deliver to the old station, which is located not far from the city market. This is the center of the city. From here you can walk to the sea in five minutes.

In summer, it is not always possible to buy direct tickets to Novorossiysk and Anapa. In this case, you can buy tickets to Krasnodar, and from there you can get by bus, which takes 4-5 hours.

Automobile transport

By car, you can drive either through Novorossiysk or through Goryachy Klyuch. In the first case, you often have to stand idle in traffic jams, since this path is too busy. If you go through Goryachy Klyuch, you will have to enter the mountainous zone earlier, but the road itself will not be full of congestion. Most often it is free even from a caravan of heavy cargo. The exception is the "hot" summer months - at this time, a fairly large flow of cars moves towards the coast.

The quality of the road is good in both cases. You can stop in any village to replenish your food supply, or have tea with honey. Many local residents earn money precisely by providing services to travelers.

The best way to get to Krasnodar is through Rostov, since the Rostov-Krasnodar highway is of high quality. And already in Krasnodar, you can decide how to go to Gelendzhik - through Novorossiysk or Goryachy Klyuch.
