China is one of the most ancient states, its rich culture and distinctive traditions attract many tourists. Typically, a visa is required to enter most countries in the world. To travel to China, it is also needed, but in some cases it is quite possible to visit the Celestial Empire without unnecessary formalities.
- - visa-free travel;
- - ferry ticket.
Take advantage of the first option to visit China without a visa. It is based on an agreement between the PRC and Russia that organized groups of tourists in the amount of 5 to 50 people can visit China for up to 15 days without a visa. Not all tour operators have the right to carry out visa-free travel for tourist groups, so when choosing a company, you need to ask whether it organizes such visa-free travel.
Use the second way to travel to the PRC without a visa. It is associated with visiting some Chinese cities with a special status. After the agreement between Russia and China adopted this year, Russians will soon be able to enter the city of Macau without visas for up to 30 days. Macau is considered one of the most European cities in China and is very popular with tourists. Tours to it are organized by many Russian travel agencies. For the final approval of the Macau law, only a few signatures of the PRC and Russian officials are required.
Keep in mind that visa-free travel to Macau is yet to come. For those who really want to visit China now, there is another opportunity to visit the republic without a visa. We are talking about the city of Heihe, located on the Chinese side of the Amur River opposite Blagoveshchensk. To get to China, buy a ferry ticket and go through customs from the Russian side. Having received a mark in your passport, you will board the ferry and in 20 minutes you will be in Heihe. Some formalities await you here too - filling out a migration card and going through passport control. This is where all the difficulties end, you can stay in Heihe for up to a month without any registration. But keep in mind that you will still not be able to get to other cities of the PRC, this requires a visa.
