It is not for nothing that Suzdal is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the Golden Ring. It is so harmonious and divorced from the bustle of megalopolises that even time passes slowly there. But in this silence, alone with yourself, surrounded by monasteries and ancient temples, like nowhere else, you can feel life itself.

Step 1
If you are traveling by car from Moscow, you need to get on the M-7 Volga highway (Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod). The distance to Suzdal is 220 kilometers, but you can drive it in 5-7 hours. The Vladimir direction is very busy and your first difficulties will begin right after the Moscow Ring Road in Balashikha.
Further, the difficult section will be the section of the road from Yelnya to Noginsk, Kovrov, Lakinsk, a bypass road near Vladimir on weekends. The optimal time for driving through difficult sections is considered: on weekdays, earlier in the morning (6-7 hours) and at night after an hour. Free Sunday mornings on weekends.
Step 2
Approaching Vladimir, turn left onto the bypass road (there will be a traffic light and a signpost). Then, after a few kilometers, turn left at the traffic lights to the "Suzdal" sign.
Step 3
You can also get to Suzdal by bus. The difficulty lies in the fact that there is no direct flight from Moscow there, and you will have to use transit options. A bus goes through Suzdal to Ivanovo. It departs from the bus station near the Shchelkovskaya metro station several times a day. Be sure to warn the driver that you need to get off in Suzdal so that he can drive through the city to the bus station, and not turn onto a bypass road. From the bus station of Suzdal, you can take a taxi (affordable for money) to any hotel or historical site. But in principle, Suzdal is such a compact city that you can get around it on foot.
Step 4
Another route will help you get to Suzdal - a bus to Vladimir. Arriving at the city's bus station, change to the Vladimir-Suzdal regular bus, which runs every half hour.
Step 5
If you want to save time, choose the fastest option - the train. You can get to Vladimir by electric train from the Kursk railway station. This is the fastest way - the travel time is only three hours. Arriving at the Vladimir railway station, take a regular bus to Suzdal. Fortunately, the bus station is nearby.
