The jungle is very different from the forests of the middle lane, in order to survive, you have to behave there in a completely different way. Even if you split off from the group or guide, get lost - remain calm and try not to panic. There is a lot of vegetation in the jungle, and it surrounds you from all sides, so there is a high risk of developing claustrophobia.

Instructions

Step 1

When going into the jungle, dress in tight, loose clothing that completely covers the entire surface of the body, tuck it into socks and gloves. It is very important that the clothes are durable. The headgear should be equipped with a net that will provide protection from flying insects.

Step 2

Try to move in the chosen direction as much as possible. Always mark yourself a landmark visible from afar, try to track the direction by the sun. The jungle is full of insects, wasps, land leeches, poisonous snails, ants, reptiles that are just waiting for you to decide to lie down or sit on something. Before choosing a jungle vacation, carefully inspect the area and select an open area, away from wildlife trails and bodies of water.

Step 3

Thoroughly clear the area of bushes and grass (be careful, there may be snakes). In the center, dig a hole in which to make a fire. Use the bamboo trunks to frame the shelter, and the palm leaves to cover. Lay it in the form of tiles so that the upper leaves overlap the lower ones.

Step 4

Making a fire in the jungle is difficult due to the high humidity. But even if you don't have a lighter or matches, try this method: take five dry bamboo strips. Stick one of them into the ground, fold the rest on the outside, in pairs, with the convex side out. Place dry tinder between each plank. After making the transverse notches, start moving up and down until the tinder is smoldering.

Step 5

If you do decide to go swimming in a local body of water, be very careful and explore it thoroughly. In rivers and lakes, you can often find large and poisonous snakes, crocodiles, piranhas and other predators, so in order to wash, it is better to scoop up some water and shower yourself, otherwise swimming in the jungle may be your last.

Step 6

Take drinking water from flowing streams or rivers. Before using it, be sure to boil it (if you do not have special tablets that disinfect water). Drinking water can also be obtained from muddy streams. To do this, dig a deep hole at 0.5-2 meters from the edge and wait for the water to seep and settle. Good sources of water are bamboo shoots, grapes, coconuts.

Step 7

To determine if the edible fruit is in front of you or not, observe the monkeys. As a rule, everything that they eat is suitable for humans. Always peel and boil the fruit if possible. Careful behavior will help you survive in the jungle, even if you are not familiar with all plants and animals.
