At high risk are people with poor health, children and those who suffer from chronic diseases. Therefore, rest in a region with an unusual climate can easily become a source of danger to the human body.

The main symptoms of acclimatization: general weakness, lethargy, headaches, sleep disturbances, nervous disorders, exacerbation of chronic diseases (for example, rheumatism or hypertension). As a rule, the main factor influencing the adaptation of the body to a new climate is air humidity. The lower it is, the easier it is for a person to adapt. Dry air causes active perspiration, thereby maintaining the required level of thermoregulation.

Countries with hot climates and high air humidity are another matter. In such conditions, sweat cannot evaporate unhindered, which leads to a sharp violation of thermoregulation. The consequences of such an imbalance are overheating of the body, increased breathing, impaired internal circulation and other unpleasant things. A person becomes lethargic, irritable, feels constant thirst.

Acclimatization can be prevented by the following preventive measures. The room you are in should be cool and fresh (this can be easily achieved with an air conditioner and humidifier). In addition, the correct water-salt regime must be observed. You need to drink, completely quenching the feeling of thirst after eating, the rest of the time it is recommended only to rinse your mouth. It is better to eat in the early morning or evening, avoiding the hot hours of the day.

A comfortable outfit will help facilitate acclimatization. On vacation in hot regions, you should wear light and loose clothing made from natural materials. Do not forget about a headdress that will protect you from additional overheating. On the road, be sure to take proven antipyretic drugs (based on paracetamol or ibuprofen). They will help to cope with possible increases in body temperature during the first days of rest.
