One of the interesting places to visit in Kuala Lumpur is the Central Market, which is located near Chinatown. Several years ago, traffic was blocked on the street adjacent to the market, kiosks were set up and now they also sell souvenirs, snacks, cold drinks. For example, here you can drink freshly squeezed juice or try a very original bamboo dessert - sweet coconut-rice sticks that are cooked inside a bamboo trunk in your presence.

The central market was built in 1928 and served as the main bazaar for local residents. In the early 80s, the market gradually turned into a gathering place for souvenir shops, art shops and artisan workshops. Souvenir prices are considered the lowest in the city, and you can buy anything from fridge magnets to real works of art. I recommend looking at everything first, and then buying it. Don't forget to bargain!

On the second floor of the Central Market there are cafes offering various dishes of national cuisine, cafes are beautifully decorated and offer a wide range of dishes.

The market is open from 10 am to 10 pm.
