A bit of history
Carcassonne is a small town located in the south of France. This city has an extremely interesting fate. In the XXII century, the Albigensians, adherents of the Cathars, settled here. Shortly thereafter, a brutal crusade was carried out on them. Over time, the fortress wall of Carcassonne was badly damaged, but in the 19th century, grandiose and complex work was carried out to restore it. As a result, today's fortress is a real stronghold of the Middle Ages, with a unique atmosphere of antiquity.
