Step 1

Download in the section "Consular information" of the website of the Embassy of Latvia the questionnaire of the established form. It is posted in Word format. Step 2

Study your own international passport. Make sure that it has two free pages and that it will not expire earlier than three months after your visa expires.

Step 3

Prepare 2 color photographs, 35 x 45 mm. Pay attention to the requirement for the image: the distance between the pupils should be approximately 6 mm, the distance between the eye level and the edge of the chin should be 15 mm, and the distance from the edge of the head to the edge of the photograph should be 6 mm. The photo must be on a light gray or white background, the presence of a white corner is not allowed. Photos in outerwear, in hats or with bare shoulders are not accepted.

Step 4

Purchase a travel health insurance policy for the Schengen area. The insured amount of the contract must be at least EUR 30,000. Please note that only policies of insurance organizations accredited by the Embassy are accepted for consideration. A complete list can be found on the website of the Embassy.

Step 5

Prepare documents proving the availability of a hotel reservation and departure from the country (air or train tickets in both directions). Please be aware that the Embassy of Latvia does not accept vouchers and hotel booking confirmations made through the website www.booking.com.

Step 6

Collect documents confirming your financial solvency, namely, make a bank statement for the last 3 months or take a certificate from the place of work (original is required) indicating the amount of salary. It is also possible to purchase traveler's checks for an amount of at least 10 lats (15 euros) for each day of stay.

Step 7

Pay the state fee (35 euros for a regular visa) at the Embassy. The amount is accepted in cash and only in euros. Attach a Russian passport to the collected package of documents. Acceptance of visa documents is carried out on weekdays from 9.00 to 13.00 at the address Moscow, st. Chaplygin, 3.
