Step 1

If your flight is delayed, most likely, you are confused, wandering around the airport and you drag your things along with you. What should be done in such a situation? If the flight is delayed by less than two hours, you should go to the airline representative to tell you which flight you are from and request that your baggage be placed free of charge.

Step 2

If your flight is delayed more than two hours, you shouldn't waste your money on phone calls. Your air carrier is obliged to provide you with two phone calls to any part of the world or two emails for free.

Step 3

If your flight is delayed more than four hours, you should not spend your own money on water and food. Go to the representative of the air carrier and ask for a hot lunch and drinks, and immediately inquire about dinner. All this must be provided to you free of charge.

Step 4

If your flight is delayed for more than six hours, do not try to relax in the lounge or on your suitcase. The airline representatives must provide you with a hotel room and transfer (transportation to it) free of charge. By the way, if you were immediately told that the flight was delayed for more than six hours, immediately demand that you be assigned to a hotel room. You are not obliged to carry your luggage with you, it must still be determined by the representatives of the airline.

Most importantly, keep calm, and if you are not provided with comfortable conditions on time, and the flight was delayed due to the fault of the airline, collect checks, you will have to be compensated for everything later, do not forget to take a certificate indicating the flight delay time, all this can be done submit to court. If you are asked by representatives of the airline why they have to provide you with all this, tell them that your rights are protected by clause 99 of the Air Code of the Russian Federation.
