Strictly speaking, a vacation in Paris can be planned in just two ways: either wander without a course and route, simply enjoying the fact that one of the most beautiful capitals of Europe is around, or arrange a tour of must-see sights of Paris. This is exactly what an experienced traveler will do, knowing the price of each excursion.

Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is considered the hallmark of Paris and France in general. However, the Parisians themselves do not share the great love of tourists for their main attraction. It is no secret, for example, that Hugo has repeatedly stated that there is no place for the Eiffel Tower in the French capital.

In turn, it is time for tourists to organize pilgrimages to the Eiffel Tower. Its grace is not ostentatious - the structure has a record weight and is literally the pinnacle of engineering and architectural thought.

Triumphal Arch

Another must-see point of the route for any tourist is the legendary Arc de Triomphe. This fantastic structure is located in Charles de Gaulle square. The entire arch is decorated with historical bas-reliefs from the time of Napoleon: battles, victorious silhouettes and graceful images by F. Ruda.

The construction of the Arc de Triomphe took almost two years, during which Napoleon was already buried. Built as a symbol of the valor of the French army, the Arc de Triomphe truly fulfilled its purpose when the remains of an unknown soldier were laid to rest at its foot.

Basilica of the Sacre Coeur

At 35, rue du Chevalier de la Barre, there is an impressively graceful monument - the famous Basilica of the Sacré-Coeur. It took French architects almost four decades to complete this magnificent building.

The peculiarity of the Basilica is the inimitable milky shade of the facade. The ancient builders achieved this effect thanks to the use of a unique mineral from which the temple was built. In the rain, the stone becomes even whiter, creating the effect of the glow of the entire structure.

Louvre

Not every tourist includes a visit to the Louvre in a compulsory program, but in vain. What makes this event troublesome is that colossal queues always reign in the Louvre, and you have to admire your favorite exhibits furtively, fearing not having time to get acquainted with all the richness of the historical heritage collected under the arches of the Louvre.

But this should not scare the lucky ones who want to get acquainted with the collection of art created by mankind over the course of 5 centuries. The Louvre's expositions allow you to get acquainted with the canvases of Goya, Delacroix, Titian, El Greco, Raphael and, of course, Leonardo da Vinci and his permanent masterpiece Gioconda.
