The city of Dmitrov is located near Moscow, founded in 1154 by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky. You can get from Moscow by train from the Savelovsky railway station. Dmitrov is one of the few cities in which attractions are located within walking distance from the railway station (1.3 km, approximately 17 minutes on foot). Suitable for day trips and weekend trips.

In the center of the city there is a monument to V. I. Lenin, whose gaze is directed to the Dmitrov Kremlin, a fountain is open in summer.

The Kremlin is not completely preserved, the shafts are considered the oldest. They are located on four sides, between the ramparts are the Nikolsky Gate. They are wooden and not real, the gates have not survived (as well as the walls with towers). The wooden gate was restored relatively recently.

On the territory of the Kremlin, there are few interesting buildings, there are ordinary wooden houses and it is better not to approach them (guarded by dogs). In summer it is just pleasant to walk here, because there are many flowers. In the Kremlin there are very uncomfortable paths made of natural stone; comfortable shoes are needed for a walk.

The construction of the Assumption Cathedral of the Dmitrov Kremlin began in the 16th century, but it was reconstructed several times, so it has not survived in its original form.

There are museums and another temple on the territory of the Kremlin.

Near the Nikolsky Gate there is an unusual stone with a broken horseshoe, but it is rarely noticed by tourists (it is located under the bushes). There are many monuments erected near the Kremlin and the house - museum of P. A. Kropotkin is located.

In addition to the Dmitrov Kremlin, it is worth seeing the Borisoglebsky Monastery. It is located on Bolshevik Street, not far from the Kremlin. Until now, it is not known exactly what year it was founded, there is an unconfirmed assumption that it appeared in the city in 1154 with the participation of Yuri Dolgoruky.

Peacocks and exotic fish are bred in the monastery, and you can draw water at any time of the year.

The most interesting building of the monastery is the Cathedral of Boris and Gleb. There is an assumption that it was erected in the 16th century (that is why it is considered the most ancient building of the monastery). Photo and video - filming is allowed, the cathedral has the status of an architectural monument.

Other buildings were erected in the 17th century, they were rebuilt several times. Only part of the buildings of the monastery has survived, some were damaged during the restoration of the monastery in the 90s of the last century.

There are few attractions in Dmitrov, but it's just nice to walk around the city. There are slight difficulties with catering points, there are few cafes and restaurants. If you want to have a cheaper snack, you will have to look for a suitable establishment for a long time (or a shopping center with a food court).
