Instructions

Step 1

The first thing to do to move to Thailand is to choose a place of residence. There are several large resorts of world importance in the country, where you can find work in the Russian-speaking sector (tourism, real estate rental) without excellent knowledge of English or Thai, or start studying at language schools or universities. The largest resorts include Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui, Hua Hin and Koh Chang.

Step 2

After choosing a place of residence, you need to decide on the type of visa and housing. At the moment, for long-term residence in the country, you can get either a student (student) visa or a work visa. The latter is given if you have a work permit or when you open your own company. Tourist visas allow you to stay in the country for 3 or 6 months, in rare cases, a 3-entry tourist visa for 9 months is issued. To obtain any type of visa, you must travel outside of Thailand.

Step 3

Finding housing in the country is quite simple. In any (not only the tourist region) housing is divided into apartments in apartment complexes - condominiums, which often have a swimming pool, gym and parking for residents, villas of different prices and ordinary Thai houses (the cheapest category). When choosing, you should proceed from the budget and needs, but do not forget that apartments in condos or houses in large complexes are more closely guarded than small Thai bungalows.
