Museum of Forgotten Music

On 9th January Street, building 108 (City Palace of Culture) there is a unique Voronezh Museum - the Museum of Forgotten Music. Here are collected musical instruments of different peoples of the world, now not used. Many instruments have been restored and are in working order. The founder of the museum, Sergei Plotnikov, talks very interestingly about each instrument. Moreover, the exhibits can not only be touched, but even played on them.

Arsenal Museum

The Arsenal Museum is the oldest building in the city. It was built in 1770 and previously housed a factory building. The museum began its work in this building in 1984 and there are more than 1200 exhibits on display: archaeological finds, metal products, folk costumes, objects made of porcelain, faience, glass … The museum is recommended to visit before a sightseeing walk around the city. The Arsenal is located on Stepan Razin Street, 43.

Castle of the Princess of Oldenburg

The Princess Castle is shrouded in secrets and legends, there are even rumors that the ghost of the Princess of Oldenburg lives here. And all due to the fact that to this day the castle has been preserved in its original state, and even during the war the Nazis preserved this building when they learned that the princess belonged to an ancient German family. So, if you want to see ghosts, go to the village of Ramon, Voronezh Region.

Interesting monuments

It is in Voronezh that you can meet a bronze kitten from Lizyukov Street (oddly enough, it is located on Lizyukov Street, 4). Here a kitten sits here with a crow and is photographed every day with a huge number of tourists. And if you touch the kitten by the left paw, then any desire will come true.

No less popular is the White Bim Black Ear monument (located on the square in front of the Jester puppet theater). The four-legged touching hero of the story is popular with children, youth, adults and even the elderly. His name is engraved on the dog's collar. And stroking his bronze ear is a good omen. The Bim monument has become a symbol of mercy, love and kindness in Voronezh.

On Plekhanovskaya Street, you can find another interesting sculpture - a monument to the Stranger. A lonely girl sitting on a chair was commissioned by the owner of the adjacent Hermitage interior boutique. You can approach a stranger and sit down next to her on a three-legged chair. And of course, take a couple of photographs as a keepsake.

Bridges

The Voronezh reservoir divides the city into two halves, which are connected by bridges. More precisely, there are three of them. The first bridge is Chernavsky. It is automobile and pedestrian. And it is he who is the oldest bridge in Voronezh and, apparently, one of the oldest in Russia. This bridge is considered a symbol of the city, because it is at least 300 years old. From the Chernavsky Bridge there is an embankment named after Masalitinov, which connects all three bridges.

The second bridge - Vogresovsky - is also a motor-pedestrian bridge and was erected in 1954. The bridge is only 500 meters long and is located next to the Voronezh State District Power Plant. Currently, the bridge is recognized as emergency.

The third bridge is the North. This is the most modern automobile-tram-pedestrian bridge, moreover, it is a two-level one. It was laid with the prospect of operating high-speed rail transport - metro or high-speed tram.

All three bridges offer a beautiful view of the reservoir and the city on both banks.

Voronezh is one of those mysterious cities in which with each trip you discover something new and interesting, previously unknown.
