Instructions

Step 1

A passport, the validity of which exceeds by at least 90 days the duration of the intended trip to the country. It must have at least two blank pages so that you can put a visa and stamps on arrival and departure from the Schengen area. A copy must be made of the first page containing personal data. Also make a copy from the page about children, if you have them entered there.

Step 2

If you have old passports with Schengen visas or visas from countries such as USA, Australia, UK or Canada, you can attach them in support of the application. This is not required, but it can be helpful.

Step 3

Russian passport (needed to apply) and photocopies of all its pages. Be careful, copies must be removed even from blank pages.

Step 4

Completed and signed application form. To be completed in English or French. Upon completion of filling, it must be signed in the indicated places and date. It is allowed to fill in by hand in block letters or on a computer. If you are traveling with children, you need to fill out a separate questionnaire for each of them.

Step 5

Two color photographs measuring 35 x 45 mm, on a light background, without frames, ovals or corners.

Step 6

Consent to the processing of personal data. It must be signed and attached to the documents: this is a requirement of the law of the Russian Federation. For children, consent is signed by a parent or guardian.

Step 7

Confirmation of the purposes of stay in the country. This can be a hotel reservation, an invitation from a person officially residing in France, accommodation documents or a travel package. If you are traveling by invitation, then you need to attach a copy of the identity document of the inviting person to it. If a person is not a French citizen, then proof is needed that he is legally there. If the invitation is from relatives, then you need to document the relationship.

Step 8

Health insurance policy valid in all Schengen countries. The amount of coverage must be at least 30 thousand euros.

Step 9

Round-trip tickets to the country. You can attach originals or electronic booking from the site.

Step 10

Financial documents. These include an account statement, which must have funds at the rate of at least 60 euros per person for each day of stay. You can also show a statement of income or tax returns.

Step 11

Certificate of employment, signed by the chief accountant and director of the enterprise. It must be written out on letterhead and certified by the seal of the organization. If a person is studying, then a certificate is provided from the place of study; for students, a student card should also be attached. Pensioners need to bring a pension certificate.

Step 12

If your own funds are not enough to cover travel expenses, you need to show a sponsorship letter and proof of the sponsor's financial viability.
