With the holiday season approaching, many are thinking about a trip to the sea. The most attractive place for those who prefer to relax in Russia has always been the Krasnodar Territory, from the west and south its territory is washed by two seas - the Azov and the Black. Rest on each of these seas has both advantages and disadvantages.

Rest on the Sea of Azov

The Azov Sea is shallow, its average depth is 8 m, therefore, although it is located north of the Black Sea, it warms up much faster. In early June, the water temperature near the coast of Azov can already reach a comfortable 22 ° C, while near the coast of the Black Sea the water warms up to this temperature only by the beginning of July. The coast of the Azov Sea is famous for its extensive sandy beaches and long shallow waters, which makes it attractive and safe for families with children. True, the water of this sea does not differ in transparency - the sandy bottom and the channels of the rivers flowing into it, carrying out silt, give it a yellowish color, which in a storm will be closer in saturation to coffee with milk.

If we restrict ourselves to the territory of the Krasnodar Territory, only two relatively large settlements are located on the coast of the Azov Sea - Yeisk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. But both they and the villages located nearby retained a sleepy provincial way of life. The infrastructure is not very developed here, but this is not a hindrance for a relaxing holiday. The villages located on the coast are famous for their lightly salted dried fish and freshly boiled crayfish, so for beer lovers these places are a real paradise. An additional bonus will be low prices, which are an order of magnitude different from those with which Big Sochi can please you - a 90-kilometer strip of small settlements located along the highway from Tuapse to Sochi.

Holidays on the Black Sea

It is best for parents with children to go to the Anapa district. In these places, sandy beaches are not worse than on Azov, the same shallow water, but the water is incomparably clearer. The optimal choice is the area of the Blagoveshchenskaya Spit and the village of the same name. For pensioners and those who do not like crowded "parties" can be advised Kabardinka, Divnomorsk and Dzhanhot near Gelendzhik. And Gelendzhik itself and all settlements along the coast, starting from Dzhubga, are for those who have a desire to have fun at discos at night in order to sleep off on the beach during the day.

It should be noted that as the coastal Black Sea cities become more comfortable and beautiful, the number of those wishing to relax here also increases every year. Therefore, prices are also rising, although, if you wish, you can rent fairly inexpensive housing in the private sector. As for boarding houses and hotels, they are now starting to book places already in May, so do not rely on "chance" and take care of the place of accommodation in advance, especially if you plan to arrive in August.
