Norway is not one of the states that have signed the Schengen Agreement, so a separate visa is required to visit this country. You can get it yourself by submitting the required documents to the Consular Section.

Instructions

Step 1

Visit the official website of the Norwegian Embassy in Moscow. There, in the section "Visa to Norway" online, fill out the form, for this click the button "Application Portal Norway". Write in English or Norwegian. If you are unable to fill out the form online, print it and submit it to the Consular Section on paper.

Step 2

Make sure that your foreign passport will be valid for at least another three months from the moment you return to Russia.

Step 3

Take one color photo. Its size should be 3 by 4 cm (or 4 by 6, both options are accepted), the background behind the face should be light, the head should occupy 70-80% of the photo.

Step 4

Book your hotel, camping or hostel for your entire stay. Confirmation of the reservation of a room (or several, if you are staying in different places) attach to the general package of documents.

Step 5

Take out a medical insurance policy for those traveling abroad with a minimum insurance amount equivalent to EUR 30,000. The period of validity of the policy must be no less than the entire period of stay in Norway.

Step 6

Obtain from the accounting department of the organization where you work a certificate of granting you leave with pay for the period of your stay in Norway. The document must be printed on the official letterhead of the company and certified by the seal and signature of the authorized person.

Step 7

Ask the bank where you have a current account for a statement or purchase traveler's checks. The Consular Section does not establish the amount of confirmation of the availability of funds for the duration of the trip.

Step 8

Provide a detailed description of your Norway itinerary with dates and locations. This document is drawn up on a separate A4 sheet in any form.

Step 9

If you plan to travel in Norway by private car, please provide a green card and copies of all drivers' driving licenses.

Step 10

Pay the visa application fee. It is 1,400 rubles. Payment is made in cash at the Consulate.
