The Tyumen-Chelyabinsk highway is not as simple as we would like it to be. There are several possibilities to drive along the route, somewhere the road surface is better, but somewhere it is better not to drive if you do not want to wear out the car ahead of time.
Currently, motorists prefer to travel from Chelyabinsk to Tyumen via Shadrinsk. The main settlements are Miasskoye, Shadrinsk, Issetskoye. The road is good there, there are no traffic jams. In some places, the asphalt is quite fresh, the track is new and wide, so you can pass it there very quickly and easily. There is still a possibility to drive through Yekaterinburg. But from Yekaterinburg to Tyumen, the quality of the road surface leaves much to be desired. In addition, a small hook is obtained.
The roads in the Chelyabinsk region are good. Some areas are better, some are worse, but in general everything is quite comfortable. The markings are everywhere, the signs are there. The road in the Tyumen region is also good, at about the same level as in the Chelyabinsk region. But the Kurgan region does not differ in the quality of the road surface. All kinds of pits, cracks, potholes, and some of them are so wide that it is not possible to go around them. It is better to pass this section at a reduced speed.
When leaving Chelyabinsk, you should be guided by the signs to Kurgan. The M51 road leads in the right direction. The first settlement that you will meet on the highway will be Miasskoye, it is located 36 km from Chelyabinsk. Then you will reach Brodokalmak, it is already 79 km. The next landmark is Russian Techa, 103 km. Between this and the next settlement, you will pass the border between the Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions. This is followed by the Upper Techa, 137 km. After it there will be Uksyanskoe, 165 km. The next settlement is one of the largest landmarks on this road, the city of Shadrinsk, 213 km. Soon you will cross the border between the Kurgan and Tyumen regions, then you will pass Issetskoe, this is 336 km. Further to Tyumen, the road flies by very quickly.
The distance between Chelyabinsk and Tyumen along the route given above is 414 km. If you drive at an average speed of 80 km / h, then you will spend about 5 hours on the road. Usually it takes about that much, because in some places you can go faster, and somewhere you must slow down.
Still, before the trip, it is best to clarify the situation on the Chelyabinsk-Tyumen road. The fact is that the asphalt can age and become unusable in those areas where it was previously good, but in others, on the contrary, after repair it will become much more comfortable. Unfortunately, the situation on Russian roads is still such that everything is constantly changing, there is no route that could be guaranteed to rely on.
